Belle Synnott

I started dancing and physical culture at the age of 4, and I had my first ever dance lesson at Ballet by the Beach on the Central Coast of New South Wales. I studied all forms of dance including ballet, jazz, contemporary, lyrical and hip-hop as well as BJP physie. Ballet was my passion and I successfully completed all Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) levels from Pre-Primary through to Advanced 2 with Distinction Grade results. I have competed in numerous Dance Eisteddfods in New South Wales and Queensland winning multiple awards and scholarships for both dance and choreography. After having studied full time ballet with Premiere Elite on the New South Wales Central Coast, I successfully auditioned (and was accepted) for both the Joffrey Ballet School in New York as well as the Queensland Ballet Dance School of Excellence Program run through the Queensland Ballet in conjunction with Kelvin Grove State College.

I accepted and entered the Queensland Ballet Dance School of Excellence Program in 2013 where I further developed both my skills and knowledge in dance whilst continuing my education. Through this program, I was also able to attain a Certificate 3 in Dance. In 2015 I completed the ballet program with Queensland Dance School of Excellence and was accepted to the University of Queensland Bachelor of Exercise and Nutrition Science course. In 2019 I transferred my degree to study Clinical Exercise Physiology at QUT and have since graduated at the end of 2022 with a Distinction.

In 2017 I reinitiated my relationship with physie through both competing and in taking on teaching, administration and choreography. I have successfully made National Finals in 2017, 2018 and 2019 - placing 5th in 2018 at the International Convention Centre. I have also been an APDA Choreographer for the 2019- 2024 syllabi. My love for Physie & Dance along with working with our beautiful and talented students continues to grow every year and I can’t wait for 2024!

I began physical culture and dance at the age of 3 on the New South Wales Central Coast. As my great grandmother, grandmother and mother were all physical culture teachers it was in my blood. I have competed for Central Coast United and Woy Woy Physical Culture clubs successfully as both a junior and senior making the national final and being a national placegetter on several occasions.

I started my dancing career with Ballet by the Beach and later moved to Premiere Elite where I successfully completed all Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) examinations as well as winning many awards and scholarships at Eisteddfods both in New South Wales and Queensland. After studying full-time dance following Year 12, I completed a Certificate 3 in Childcare and worked both in the childcare industry whilst teaching dance and physie. In 2014 I successfully auditioned for the Bachelor of Fine Arts (Dance) degree course at QUT and subsequently moved to Queensland to commence studying. I naturally started physie immediately both competitively and teaching. In December 2017 I successfully graduated from QUT with my Bachelor’s Degree in Dance and Nutrition.

I am very excited to be continuing my career in Physie & Dance and can’t wait catch up with our REVOLUTION family, and to welcome lots of new faces to the REVOLUTION family this year.

I started physie back in 2010 as a little 7 year old, and from my first ever class, I have absolutely fallen in love with physie. Over many years, I have worked hard to achieve many of my physie goals including placing at Nationals, and becoming a teacher. I have been to Nationals 7 times and have placed 6th twice, 5th, and 2nd as a senior. At the QLD state finals I was able to perform with all of my physie friends and come away with a 2nd place! This year, my biggest goal ever of becoming a DVD girl came true and I was so honoured to perform on the 2021 DVD and be an inspiration to all the future physie champions out there.

As I am currently studying a Bachelor of Education, and an aspiring primary school teacher, I am always excited to help girls set their own physie goals and dreams and continue to help them work towards these in class. I can’t wait to continue to watch girls form beautiful, life-long friendships through physie and share my passion for physie with each and every one of them. Teaching the future generations of physie girls brings me so much joy and I am so excited to be a part of the REVOLUTION teaching team again in 2024!

I started Physie at Revolution in April of 2021.
I began dancing at age 2 in 1999 and trained at Ignite Dance Studio Bundaberg, in the styles of Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Acrobatics, Musical Theatre and Contemporary. I have completed my Royal Academy of Dance examinations up to Advanced 1 and my Theatrical Commonwealth Society Teachers of Dancing examinations up to the Teachers' Certificate level. I began assistant teaching at Ignite Dance Studio in 2010 and teaching independently in 2013.

From Jan 2015-Aug 2021 I was a dance teacher at Active Eight in Brisbane (formally The Tippy Toe Co). My role involved teaching dance classes to children with disabilities ages 2-25. After graduating as an Exercise Physiologist in 2018 I also took on the role of designing and facilitating A8's Therapy-Dance program for children with high needs. I am now running my own Exercise Physiology business while I complete my PhD at The University of Queensland.

Since moving to Brisbane I have taken ballet, tap, jazz and contemporary classes multiple times per week at Queensland Ballet and 2Ballerinas.

"PHYSIE" has been a part of my life since the day I was born being a 3rd generation physie girl as my grandmother and mother were already involved in teaching - you could say it is in my blood.

I started physie at 2 years of age in the western suburbs of NSW.  In 1985 I moved to the Blue Mountains and took over the running of the Upper Blue Mountains Club before moving to the Central Coast and teaching there for many years when my daughter's Miss Hollie & Miss Belle were born.

I was extremely excited with the joint venture we took upon as a family 5 years ago in Brisbane and became "Mumma Sheryl" to all our lovely students.

With the exciting expansion of REVOLUTION in 2022, I can't wait to watch many more students enjoy the life long friendships, passion, dedication and strengths that REVOLUTION offers and that I have endured throughout my life.
